About the course

The DB2 for z/OS Application Development

The DB2 for z/OS Application Development course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and techniques used to write and execute programs against a DB2 for z/OS Database environment.

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Describe the key features in DB2 for z/OS to support application development

  • Understand application environments in which DB2 for z/OS is specifically suitable

  • Understand the design, development, and deployment processes for application programs that access DB2 for z/OS

  • Prepare applications for execution on DB2 for z/OS
